The best summer of my Pre-mommy days.

Hello my wonderful readers =). First I want to start by saying thank you, those of you who follow and read and an extra big thank you to the people who comment. It means the world to me that someone cares about what I have to say even when it's not much.

I posted on my facebook that I was (already) running out of ideas for my blog. I got a few amazing ideas this time and last but as usual Aunt Kelly came through to make me laugh. It got me to thinking about all the fun memories that I have from the summer before I found out that I our little bundle of joy was on the way. It was probably my favorite summer of my pre-mommy days.

We spent time at half way dam, using a pie as AJ's birthday 'cake'. There was a surprise party thrown for me for my birthday. We spent a lot of time at karaoke. I also used a frozen hot pocket as weapon against my brother. We went on so many picnics and not one was boring. We wasted our days sleeping or watching movies and our nights laughing until it hurt. Aunt Kelly is usually so patient and calm so when she got so mad she threw a bike it kind of scared the crap out of Kelli and I. Now the hot pocket and the bike are two of our favorite jokes. We used to go to McDonald's once a week and just sit and laugh. We went to the library and traded some amazing books. Kaela came up from Texas and we had a blast with her. Even the cleaning days were fun. I started dating the love of my life and we had so many adventures together. I felt like I was on top of the world that summer. Like nothing was out of reach.

I miss that summer. I wouldn't want to go back because I wouldn't have my wonderful baby girl but it's fun to think about it and relive it from time to time. I know this all sounds so cliche and corny but it's all so true. I built life long and amazing friendships that summer. Aunt Kelly now lives in Texas and the rest of us are grown with children but I think we are all better for that summer that we spent living life. Actually living life. Who would have thought this big city girl would find so much love in this small town?
