Some days I feel like I am livin' la vida loca!
Between summer gatherings, hospital visits, doctor appointments and birthday parties I feel like I can't tell weather I am coming or going.
At least life's not dull, right?
I do have a complaint though...
I am currently six months pregnant and am just now being able to prepare for baby.
Something most moms are able to do from the time the stick turns blue.
I feel so behind!
When I was pregnant with Kaylee, I had almost everything I needed by this point.
Including diapers and wipes.
Everyone keeps telling me how much time I have left and all I can think is "are you crazy?!"
I suppose it could be because I am overwhelmed with all the medical issues and trying to figure out how to be a mom to more than one child.
Then there's the homeschooling thing.
I am going to need some miracles to pull this all off I think.
I could use all the prayers and tips that you all are willing to send my way.
On to some updates!
Last Friday I had to have an emergency tube change.
It was so blocked that the Doc couldn't even get a flush through.
There were a few complications that came along with the surgery.
The tube kinked in my back and he couldn't get it in or out.
I was completely pain medicine free until about half way through when I burst out into tears on the operating table.
Talk about mortifying.
It was probably the first time I was grateful for the PICC line though because it meant that I didn't have to be stuck for a new IV.
After about two hours and lots of wrestling and crying later, we decided on a bigger catheter and two shots of pain medicine.
It was probably some of the worst pain that I have ever experienced in my whole life.
So far, the tube is working better than it ever has.
I am just keeping faith that I won't need another early tube change.
Last Monday I woke up with some severe pain in my arm.
By the night time it was so red and swollen that we decided to make yet another trip back to the ER.
I have started referring to it as my home away from home.
Turns out, the PICC line site was infected.
They pulled it out.
I am NOT complaining.
The nurses also cultured the end of it to make sure there was no infection growing inside my arm.
I am happy to report that as of right now I am completely infection free.
Praise God!
I am doing my best to keep it that way.
Washing my hands constantly and making everyone else do the same.
We are also in the process of purging the house of things that are broken or useless and disinfecting everything with Lysol and bleach.
Things have been rough but they are starting to look better.
I want to thank everyone who has been on this ride with me sending encouraging words, good thoughts and prayers my way.
I am really looking forward to writing more blogs about DIY, Homeschooling and baby stuff as opposed to health woes.
