DIY Laundry Soap

In case I haven't said it before, I love pintrest.

I have been making my own laundry soap for almost a year now and it has saved us quite a bit of money.
I have been using a recipe that calls for Fels Naptha, Borax, Washing Soda and Baking Soda.
I usually make about 3 gallons. I love that it's cheap and that it works wonderfully. I do not like how it sometimes separates and has what I think is a nasty consistency. I won't describe it because the words I have are unappetizing

Needless to say, I have been searching for a way to make this look better for my sake. Not that I needed more incentive, my boy told me that he would have an easier time helping with the laundry if he didn't have to use something that was displeasing to the eye.

Last week, ala pintrest, I came upon a promising new recipe. It only calls for Fels Naptha, Borax and Washing Soda.
You also only need one tablespoon per load. That's right, I said one tablespoon per load. Sounds to good to be true, yes? I couldn't help myself and I needed to try it.

Can I just say that I am in love? I am in love. (It really is the little things that make me happy.)

*I didn't have her cool plastic lid jars so I used what I had on hand, cleaned, glass spaghetti and apple sauce jars. They work great and I am up-cycling.
*As I was blending, I added some citrus essential oil. I am partial to the smell of the pink grapefruit sent. It's light and not at all overpowering. You can use whatever you like or have on hand.

If you have a favorite DIY cleaning or beauty product that you swear by, please share. I am always on the look out for new DIY stuff.
