I love free stuff.
I often search the Internet for sites that specialize in giving away things for free. Over the last week I have received Pantene Shampoo & Conditioner, a box of tissues and Purex samples. I also have free yearly subscriptions to Maxim, Redbook and Woman's day. There are even times when I get full size products or coupons for free full sized things in the mail.
With the sample stuff like make-up, shampoo, lotion etc... I like to make cute little baskets for my mom for mothers day or something like that.
Getting free things can help save on the cost of make-up, cleaning supplies and laundry soap. A lot of the time the free sample will come with a coupons for money off when you purchase that product.
It cal also make you aware of something awesome that you may other wise not known existed.
I have a few tips for searching and using these free sites.
- Make a free email account just for your free samples. You often have to give an e-mail address to get the sample. Along with all the cool free things you get sometimes there is spam. I don't like to have a lot of spam sent to my every day e mail so I have a separate one just for the free stuff.
- Do the product reviews. First of all, the company is doing you a kindness by sending you free things. A lot of the time the only way they are going to find out what people think about the product is if feedback is given. Why not do them a kindness by taking a one minuite survey. Also, in my experience, sometimes if you do a review the company will send you more free stuff.
- Skip anything that says "Participation Required". These sites usually want you to buy things in order to win or receive this 'free product'.
- Read the fine print. Sometimes certain free samples are only available to specific groups of people such as Teachers, Fishermen, Firemen etc... or are only available in certain states.
- If you are truly into surfing these free websites set aside a few hours a week ( I like to do an hour a night after Kaylee is in bed). It is very easy to get distracted by other websites or articles. It would be a shame to miss out on something amazing becaus you just didn't have the time to look. Sometimes you will run into samples that are only available certain times of the day so you want to be sure to look out for those. They are typically a big deal.

Hey also go to totallyfreestuff.com !! Make an account there and the "participation required" stuff will be highlighted, so you can avoid them! Also Babybarnplus posts are all legit and she posts the most!! She gets some things that the other sites miss!! :)
